Dr. Woernle is a lawyer by training

Born and raised in Germany, Dr, Woernle obtained his law degree at the University of Munich and after his bar examination, also in Munich, he completed his studies in Switzerland and the United States (Docteur en Droit Lausanne; Master of Comparative Law, Illinois)

Thirty five years ago, he settled in the French-speaking part of Switzerland and after working in a large Swiss industrial concern, he then specialized in banking, particularly in private banking and asset management.

He was for many years a senior executive in a large American bank in Switzerland. Fifteen years ago he joined Banque Baring Brothers Sturdza S.A. in Geneva where he is working today as a member of its management with responsibilities in client relations and portfolio management.

Dr. Woernle is also the author of the book
"The Private Bankers of Switzerland", published thirty years ago in German, French and English.
